Daria Khokhlova (Dancer)

Biography

She was born in Moscow. In 2009 she graduated from the Moscow State Choreographic Academy (class of Elena Bobrova) and joined the Ballet Company of the Bolshoi Theater.
She rehearsed under Lyudmila Semenyaka. Now her teacher-repetiteur is Nina Semizorova.
At present she studies at the Department of performing arts at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy.

In 2010 she appeared as Madelina Usher in The Oath of the Ushers (choreography by V Vasiliev) on the stage of the Perm academic opera and ballet theater n.a. P. I. Tchaikovsky (soloists from the Bolshoi Theater and the Perm troupe) at the jubilee concert of Vladimir Vasiliev. Together with the hero of the evening she danced the choreographic piece of his production The Ballad (music by F. Chopin).

In 2011 she took part in the gala-concert of stars in memory of Galina Ulanova from the cycle “Russian ballet icons” on the stage of The London Coliseum. There she danced a fragment from The Red Poppy by R. Glière (choreography by V Vasiliev, the partner — V. Lantratov)

 

Awards

 

2005 — the 1st prize (the youngest group in the nomination "Classics“/solo) at the International Dance Festival DANCING OLYMPin Berlin.

2008 — the 2nd prize (junior group, solo) at the International competition “The young ballet of the world” (Sochi)

2009 — the 2nd prize (junior group, duets) at the International Competition of Ballet Dancers and choreographers in Moscow

2010 — the youth grant of the Triumphprize
