In 2016, Pelageya Kurennaya graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory with honors (class of Tamara Novichenko).
In the St. Petersburg Conservatory Opera and Ballet Theatre she appeared as Belinda (Dido and Aeneas), Brigitta (Iolanta), Susanna and Barbarina (The Marriage of Figaro), Rosina (The Barber of Seville), and Marfa (The Tsar's Bride).
In 2014 she appeared as Prilepa in the concert performance of The Queen of Spades directed by Mariss Jansons in Gasteig Munich as well as in Philharmonie Luxembourg. A year later she participated in Valery Gergiev’s 360 Degrees festival in Munich, performing Tanya-Katya by Rodion Shchedrin with the Mariinsky orchestra.
In the 2015/2016 season, she performed the main role at the premiere of A Christmas Tale by Rodion Shchedrin at the Mariinsky and the part of Prilepa at the premiere of The Queen of Spades staged by Stefan Herheim at the Dutch National Opera.
