Boris Andrianov and Maksim Rysanov are representatives of a generation of Russian musicians who formed in the 1990s. They achieved success first abroad, and only then recognition came to them in Russia. Today every concert of these musicians is an event.

Maxim Rysanov – Grammy nominated Ukrainian-British violist and conductor Maxim Rysanov has established himself as one of the worldʼs most vibrant and charismatic musicians. As a violist, he is principally known as a frequent guest of the crème of the international music scene, such as BBC Last Night of the Proms and the festivals of Edinburgh, Salzburg and Verbier. Maxim enjoys a busy career as a conductor parallel to playing the viola. Often he combines conducting and directing a concerto from viola. Maxim studied conducting with Alan Hazeldine at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and has taken part in several masterclasses with Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Jorma Panula and Oleg Caetani. Here are some of the orchestras he conducted: Svetlanov State Symphony Orchestra, La Verdi Orchestra Milan, Basel Symphony Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, London Mozart Players. He is delighted to play a 1780 Giuseppe Guadagnini Viola known as 'II Soldato', on private loan that was kindly arranged by Premiere Performances of Hong Kong.

Boris Andrianov graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (class of Professor Natalia Shakhovskaya) and the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin (class of Professor David Geringas). He is a winner of the International Antonio Janigro Cello Competition in Zagreb, the 1st International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians, International Competition in Johannesburg (South Africa), 1st Shostakovich International Competition, Classiсa Nova in Hannover (Germany), 6th International Rostropovich Competition in Paris, Tchaikovsky International Competition and 1st Isang Yun Competition (South Korea). Winner of the Triumph Youth Prize. Andrianov has a wide concert repertoire, performs with the leading orchestras on the world’s most prestigious stages; collaborates with famous conductors, including Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Fedoseev, Krzysztof Penderecki, Gianandrea Noseda, etc. Among his chamber ensemble partners are Yuri Bashmet, Menahem Pressler, Akiko Suwanai, Janine Jansen, Julian Rachlin, Itamar Golan. Since 2009, he has taught in the Moscow Conservatory. Soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic Society. Plays a Domenico Montagnana instrument from the State Collection of Unique Musical Instruments. Creator and Artistic Director of the Moscow Cello Festival VIVACELLO.
