The musicians of the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra were carefully chosen during a non-precedent pan-Russia competition. Thus, the Orchestra was born in 2012, and during this years it has nurtured a certain number of high-class musicians, who develop the great traditions of Russian music school, and bring them out to the world.

The largest concert halls of Russian and Europe, e.g Viennes Musikverein, Milanese Auditorium La Verdi, Concertgebouw Amsterdam‎, Berliner Philharmoniker, and the United Nations Office at Geneva, invite the orchestra to play every year. The most prominent soloists perform with the orchestra. According to Bashmet, the orchestra “is that kind of an ensemble that is always full of energy, and while onstage the musicians enjoy a very particular emotional state, and that can’t help but impress public in every country”.

The TV channel “Kultura” series “Orchestra of the Future” is devoted to the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra; TV channel Mezzo would broadcast several concerts of the orchestra; two documentaries depict the story of the orchestra.

In September 2019, the Big Russian Tour starts, with confirmed dates in Vologda, Kaluga, Tula, Yaroslavl, Uglich, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, and Yekaterinburg. The gala in “Zaryadye” is the final note of this music party.

By tradition, this night maestro Bashmet will be both the conductor and the soloist, with the brightest “starlets” of the orchestra showcase their talents.
The concert is funded by the Russian President’s grant for the Development of Civil Society provided by the Presidential Grants Foundation and held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture.
