"The orchestra of the Moscow philarmonic society - is unique. It can be compared to best of world orchestras - Chicago, Klivlend, Amsterdam, Berlin", - such estimation was given the Academic symphonic orchestra of the Moscow philarmonic society by one of the American critics. Behind a conductor’s stand as its main conductors and art directors there were such outstanding masters, as Samuil Self-court (1951-1957), Natan Rahlin(1957-1959), Cyril Kondrashin (1960-1976), Dmitry Kitaenko (1976-1990), Vasily Sinaisky (1991-1996), Mark Ermler (1996-1998). In 1998 the art director and the main conductor of an orchestra became the national actor of the USSR, professor Jury Simonov. Summer of 2004 the conductor-assistant of an orchestra became Edward Djadjura. With an orchestra known domestic conductors acted all. The bright trace in history of collective was left with concerts with the largest foreign musicians G.Abendrotom, F.Konvichnym, K.Tsekki, A.Kljuitensom, L.Maazelem, S.Mjunshem, I.Markevichem, K.Zanderlingom, I.Stravinskim, K.Penderetskim, Z.Meta and others.
