Elita Bukovska (Choreography) Choreographer Elita Bukovska graduated from the Riga Choreography School, class of Marina Sizova (1985) and the Jвzeps Vоtols Latvian Academy of Music, specialised in choreography (1993). A ballet dancer at the Lithuanian State Opera and Ballet Theatre (1985-1987) and the Latvian Independent Ballet company (1990-1992). Worked as a choreographer - ballet master at the Latvian Youth Theatre (1993-1995). Ballet Manager of the Latvian National Opera Ballet Company since 1996. Elita Bukovska participated as a choreographer and movement consultant in more than 45 theatre productions including Eugene Onegin, Salome, Don Carloss, The Birds‘ Opera, Die Zauberflote, Orfeo ed Euridice, Un ballo in maschera, Der fliegende Hollander, The Demon, The Pique Dame, Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, Le nozze di Figaro at the Latvian National Opera, Rigoletto at the Lithuanian Opera and Ballet Theatre, operetta Die Fledermaus. Productions in Riga Dailes Theatre, New Riga Theatre, Russian Drama Theatre, Liepaja Theatre, Daugavpils Theatre among others include Die Drei Groschen Oper, The Snake, The Street Car Named Desire, Tobago, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, New Year event Cabaret (2003, 2004). Choreographer of the Cesis 800th Anniversary Concert. Collaborated with Viesturs Kairiss, Alvis Hermanis, Banuta Rubess, Mihails Gruzdovs, Pзteris Krilovs, Andrejs Zagars, Gintaras Varnas, Vera Nemirova, Georgy Isaakian and other stage directors.
Elita Bukovska has been a stage director for such large-scale events as Latvian Gas Annual Award concert and ceremony (2006), The Great Latvian Music Award (2005), World Ice Hockey Champinship Opening Ceremony (2006), Latvian Republic Independence Anniversary Concert (2005).
