Nadia Krasteva (Mezzo-soprano) Born in Sofia, Bulgaria. Having completed her studies at the Pancho Vladigerov Conservatoire, Sofia, she continued her training in Vienna and Rome (teacher Anita Cerquetti). She made her stage debut as Sally Bowles in the musical Cabaret at the Stefan Makedonski National Music Theatre, Sofia. She made her debut as Carmen at the National Palace of Culture, Sofia. She has sung Maddalena (Rigoletto), title role (Carmen), and Fenena (Nabucco) at the Stara Zagora Opera, title role (Carmen) in Bourgos and Sofia, and Amneris (Aida) in Varna.

In 2005-07, she appeared at the following venues: Color Line Arena, Hamburg (title role – Carmen), St. Gallen (Adalgisa – Norma), Bratislava (Eboli – Don Carlos); and she took part in the following productions: Parsifal (State Opera, Munich), Anna Bolena (Konzerthaus, Vienna), La Forza del destino (Essen). In the 2007-08 season, she sang Carmen at the Savonlinna Opera Festival, Suzuki in Munich, and Eboli in Valencia.
