The Symphony Orchestra of Russia was created in 1991 by the outstanding Russian conductor Maestro Veronika B. Dudarova. It was formed by the famous musicians from Moscow and other musical centers of the former Soviet Union – Kiev, Leningrad, Minsk, and Novosibirsk; and among them there were 12 laureates of International Competitions. The brass and drum sections are magnificent. The string section consists of skilled veterans and talented young people. The Orchestra has gained lots of admirers in more than some ten years of its creative life. Concerts of the Orchestra sweep all before one. During the time the Orchestra exists there have been more than 300 concerts held at the best Russian concert-halls. Now the Symphony Orchestra of Russia performs more than 40 concerts per season; it also presents three subscription cycles with the Moscow Philharmonic Society, which are conducted at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. The Orchestra presents a cycle of symphonic concerts for the young at the “Rossiya” State Russian Concert Hall, it participates in the music festivals named after Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Glinka, in the Ankara Music Festival and in some others, and it records CDs and DVDs. In the Orchestra repertory the creations of Beethoven, Berlioz, Bach, Bizet, Brahms, Debussy, Dvorak, Glinka, Grieg, Kolinnikov, Liszt, Liadov, Mahler, Mozart, Mussorgsky, Prokofieff, Rachmaninoff, Rimsky-Korsakov, Rossini, Scriabin, Shostakovich, J. Strauss, R. Strauss, Stravinsky, Tchaikovsky, Verdi, Vivaldi, Wagner are included. The Orchestra performed on tour in Spain, Argentine, Peru, Ecuador, Puerto-Rico, Japan, China, and Turkey. The Government of Argentina announced Veronika Dudarova to be honorable citizen of Buenos-Aires.
