Filippo Arlia (Conductor)
>Filippo Arlia is an Italian pianist, conductor and soloist. He took his piano degree, with honors, at the Conservatory “F. Torrefranca” in Vibo Valentia at the age of 17th, with M° Antonella Barbarossa. He had many experiences as solist and conductor with the most prestigeous orchestra in Italy and abroad, such as the De Tineret de Cluj Orchestra , Sinfolario della Lombardia Orchestra, the Cukurova State Symphony Orchestra of Adana, “M. Jora” of Bacau Philarmonic Orchestra, the Pacific Symphony Orchestra of Vladivostok, the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti in Neaples, Città di Ferrara Orchestra and the Choir of the maximum Theatre of Piacenza. Since 2012 he has been the artistic director and also the conductor of the Orchestra Filarmonica of Calabria and he works with soloists with mondial prestige, as Giacomo Prestia, Sergej Krylov, Ramin Bahrami, Michel Camilo.
He has been taking concerts all around the world, in Italy, Romania, Lituania, Turchia, Russia, Tunisia and New Zeland, playing in the most important music instituctions, as Paisiello Theatre in Lecce, Politeama Theatre in Catanzaro, the Theatre of Adana, the University of Bacau, Tendastrisce Theatre in Rome, the “S. Katherine Concert Hall” in Vilnius, the University and the Performing Arts Centre of Auckland, the “Scarlatti” Hall in Neaples, the “G. Borgatti” Theatre in Cento, the “S. Rachmaninov” Hall in Tambov, the Superior institute of Music and the University of Sousse, the Acropolium Theatre in Cartagine, the Orchestra of Vladivostok, the “G. Menotti” Theatre in Spoleto. He his nowadays piano teacher and Director of the Superior Institute of Music Studies “P. I. Tchaikovsky” in Nocera Terinese (CZ).
