Victoria Postnikova (Piano soloist)

One of the greatest pianists of our time, the People's Artist of Russia, Victoria Postnikov long won worldwide recognition. During his more than 30 years of performing activities she once conquered the international music centers such as Moscow, London, New York, Paris, Rome, Tokyo and Buenos Aires. Exceptional natural musical talent, temperament and brilliant technique, the highest culture of performance and commitment to deep, the fullest comprehension of art as close to her great masters - all highlights pianist of many contemporaries. Thanks to the hot intensity of her performance style, world criticism often calls her "Richter among female pianists."
Postnikov Victoria was born in Moscow into a musical family and began playing the piano at age three. Within four years, held its public appearance with the Mozart concerto for piano and orchestra in A major. Pupil wonderful pianist and teacher Ya.V.Fliera in 1962-1967 Victoria's doing in his class at the Moscow Conservatory, and two years in graduate school (1967-1969).

Already as a student V. Postnikov becomes the winner of the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (1965) and Leeds (1966). In 1968, she won the top award in the competition named J. Viana da Mota in Lisbon (Portugal), and in 1970 it awarded the third prize at the IV International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.

In 1970, she became a soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic. From that moment began a brilliant career of the actress. She performs at major concert halls of the world, playing and making records with orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Czech Philharmonic, the London and the Vienna Symphony, the Orchestre de Paris, in the United States - with New York, Boston, Chigagskim, the Cleveland and Philadelphia Orchestras. Among its partners conductor: Sir John Barbirolli, Sir Adrian Boult, Sir Colin Davis, Sir Simon Rattle, Kurt Masur, Yuri Temirkanov, Kirill Kondrashin, Lord Yehudi Menuhin, Gennady Rozhdestvensky.

Victoria Postnikov participated in numerous tours Russian symphony orchestras in Europe and Japan and in Australia BBC Orchestra, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra in South America.

In her repertoire - all piano concertos of Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Brahms, Prokofiev and many concertos by Mozart, Haydn, Bach, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Scriabin. A significant part of its programs devoted to music composers of the twentieth century - Bartok, Britten, Richard Strauss, Schnittke.

Versatile pianist creative interests manifest themselves in the attention to chamber music performance, as evidenced by her unforgettable performance in Moscow in sonata ensemble with violinist Yehudi Menuhin and concerts in a piano duo with Gennady Rozhdestvensky, her husband, with whom the pianist performs original and rarely performed works. Among the many entries Postnikova - the complete works for piano by Tchaikovsky, written for the French company "Erato", the complete piano works by Mussorgsky, "Songs Without Words" by Mendelssohn, all concerts for piano and orchestra by Prokofiev.
