Marina Efanova (Soprano)
Marina Efanova graduated from the Glinka Novosibirsk State Conservatory
in 1996. In 1996–2000 she worked in the Novosibirsk State Opera and
Ballet Theatre and appeared as the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Die
Zauberflцte, Musetta in Puccini’s La Boheme, and others.
In 2000, Marina Efanova joined the Novaya Opera Theatre
of Moscow.
The singer has cooperated with various Russian music
companies, in particular the Russian State Academic Choir under the direction of
Polyansky. With the Choir, she performed the part of Oksana in Tchaikovsky’s
Cherevichki, the part of Zemfira in Rachmaninov’s Aleko, and the part of
Mermaid in Dargomyzhsky’s The Mermaid. She also took part in concerts
with Rozhdestvensky, Polyansky, Stadler, Ponkin, performing cantatas and
oratorios by Haydn, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Mahler. She tours extensively in
Russia and abroad.
